I'm in the very beginning of writing a series that combines all my current favorite things: steampunk, time travel, magic, vampires and dragons. I think I may be insane.

There had better be a dragon with a monocle.

I was thinking more on the lines of

    but a monocle could work...

Unfortunately it's mostly in my head. My intention is to work on the script for the next few months and then try to actually get it made.

I'm working on a webseries at the moment (very slowly - the first episode took a year and a half, and I shot the second in February but it's not going to be finished for a while). Not that I'm an expert (as evidenced by how long it takes me to get stuff finished!) but I'd say the key is getting awesome people to help you, and the best way to do that is to write an awesome script that people want to work on for free. So if you put the work into getting the script as good as it can be it makes the rest a lot easier.

I know I'm going to need a lot of help once I get the script in shape. Luckily I live in Vancouver were there are lots of actors and other film people.

I think it's perfectly fine to take your time with it and for the first few eps to be a little rough. What matters is you have the idea and you're willing to see it through! =)

I think you should never rush writing. A project takes as long as it takes for you to be satisfied with it. It's not like the world is going to end in December.

I am writing currently among a bunch of other stuff a web series pilot script thing.  It's called Geek and Pregnant. It's based on a trend that sort of got started by PureGeeksauce in one of the IRC chatrooms.  Even though it has a Twitter (which you should totally check out cause it's awesome.), I am still going to write a script because.... I can.  Anyway, I have no resources to produce this being in high school, so I will probably post the script on the forums for you wonderful people to enjoy.  The concept and link for the Twitter is below.  Please comment.

    Concept:

Our story begins with two sisters. Karen, a thirty year old baker's assistant and Laura, her 17 year old sister are both avid gamers. While Karen is more a fan of the old school games, Laura is a new school girl, but both play online games like WoW and Diablo 3 and stuff like that. Karen is single while her sister is dating Michael, a nice nerdy boy. Anyway, a week after the story starts, Laura is revealed to be pregnant by Michael. Unbeknownst to their parents, Karen is also pregnant from a drunken night she can’t remember. After confronting their parents the two decide to help each other through this hard time together along with Michael, Karen’s best friends Gabe and Amy, and Karen’s DM, Murphy.

PS: Sorry this post is so frakkin long
